This time, I stayed in Guangzhou for two consecutive nights. It was originally intended to be close to Beijing Road. Without taking the subway detour, I could hold the essence of Beijing Road and the Pearl River in my hands by raising my feet.
The most amazing thing is that its traffic buff is directly stacked, and it takes only 3 minutes to walk downstairs from the apartment lobby to reach the core area of Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. You don't have to travel far to immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of Lao Guang. It takes 8 minutes to walk to Gongyuanqian Station of Metro Line 1 directly. There is no detour for double line transfer to the Pearl River New City and Tianhe Business District. It takes 40 minutes to take Line 2 directly to Guangzhou South Railway Station. There is no need to rush out two hours in advance to catch the high-speed railway. 50 meters from the entrance is the bus hub, covering almost all the routes of old city attractions such as Shamian, Chen Family Temple, Yuexiu Mountain, etc. You don't want to squeeze on the subway and take the bus to leisurely explore the whole city. Even if you walk back from the the Pearl River in the middle of the night, you can walk 10 minutes to the apartment. You don't have to wait at the roadside for a car to shiver. You can even save the premium for a late night taxi. If you drive here, the apartment comes with its own exclusive parking lot. In areas like Beijing Road, where land is precious, you don't have to take half an hour to find a parking space. You can pick up the car and directly take the city expressway. Going to Foshan or Shunde for delicious food can avoid congestion in the core area.
The 500 meter living circle around the city directly expands the freedom of shopping and eating. Go downstairs and turn into the old lane next to it. There are more than a dozen time-honored brands that have been open for decades. From 5 a.m. in the morning, the Braised Intestine Shop, the Wonton noodles shop that is now packaged and cooked, to 12 p.m. in the evening, there is a line of Little pan rice stalls, all of which are the old shops that local aunts and aunts often go to. You don't need to run dozens of kilometers across the region to punch in online stores, and you can walk 10 minutes to eat all the authentic dishes. If you want to browse trendy brands and buy souvenirs, just enter the Beijing Road commercial district and you can get it all in one stop. You can even buy emergency power banks, cool green bean paste, and take a turn downstairs to reach the 24-hour convenience store. Get together with friends to find out. You can walk 15 minutes to the riverside bar street by the the Pearl River. After drinking, you can walk back to the apartment slowly, without having to worry about driving.
If you want to go far away from the scenic spot, you can also get to the the Pearl River Tianzi Wharf by walking for 10 minutes from your apartment. You don't have to avoid the crowd in time. You can go there by raising your feet if you want to take a picture of the sunset in the Pearl River, take a night cruise ferry. Walk to Shamian in 15 minutes, stroll through European style old buildings and take vintage photos. After strolling, you can also catch the last bowl of ginger milk at the old brand sugar water shop. 20 minutes to Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, to see Lingnan sculpture art, without the need to transfer or take detours, saving all the time for strolling and eating.
Even the thoughtfulness in the details has hit the pain point of travel. The front desk can get a free hand drawn map of local Lao Guang cuisine, marking niche check-in points to avoid crowds, and even helping to book shuttle buses for scenic spots. I forgot to bring my camera battery when I went out this time. I walked downstairs for 3 minutes to buy it at the digital store, so I didn't have to order takeout and wait for half an hour for delivery. After staying for two nights, I hardly wasted a minute on transportation. All the shops and attractions I wanted to go to could be reached in the most convenient way. Before, when I came to Guangzhou, I used to think that there were many detours to explore and eat in the old city area. However, after staying at South & North International Apartment - Beijing Road Kam Rueng Plaza, Guangzhou, I realized that choosing the right place to stay has doubled the overall experience of the trip.
